The Diagnostic Tool has been developed by the €FA (€uropean Financial Advisor) project to complement the €FA Core Competence Framework, The Diagnostic Tool is designed for three purposes:

• To enable individuals to assess themselves against the €FA Core Competence Framework, identifying whether they fully satisfy the requirements or where there are shortfalls.
• To enable a training or qualification provider to compare their learning outcomes with the requirements of the €FA Core Competence Framework and identify where there is a mismatch.
• To enable an employer to assess their employees against the €FA Core Competence Framework, to determine if they fully satisfy the requirements or to define where their strengths and weaknesses lay.

You are required to answer a series of questions reflecting the Performance Requirements and Learning Outcomes of the €FA Core Competence Framework. The Diagnostic Tool is dependent on the quality of the information you enter, it is not a test and cannot provide independent evidence of competence. It relies solely on your declarations of competence against each item and compares them with the requirements of the Framework.

The results are presented in a way that not only gives you detailed feedback, but also an overall summary.
You should register as a user in order to save the results of your comparison. As a registered user your results are completely confidential.

However, if you wish, you can let others to access your results too:

1. in Menu, go to -> My account -> Edit -> Results -> check "Show Results of my Diagnostics to others" and Submit
2. provide the Access Code you can find at the bottom of page Results of Diagnostics to anyone you wish to see you results through the page Results of Diagnostics for different Users
